An Idea For Your Consideration - Re-TweetingViews: 648

A lot of folks here on Ryze are sharing their Twitter website links to help increase the size of their audience. I encourage you to share your links on this thread as well. The idea here is that if you follow someone else first, they will then reciprocate. Soon the person who decided to become an audience for someone else has an audience all his own.

Now, once you have an audience, that audience of yours can grow itself through the re-tweeting process. Why? Because each individual member of your audience has an audience. Consequently, the willingness to re-tweet just one little message can indeed have a far-reaching impact.

Would you like to make the re-tweeting process work for your business? Here are some simple steps for your consideration:

1) Join Twitter.

2) Follow me at lamarjmorgan.

3) Send me a direct message that you want me to re-tweet. I will ask that you also reciprocate the kindness. But, make no mistake, this is a win/win strategy for those willing to partake. What's more, it can be done with help from any number of folks in your Twitter network. Just ask.

Important topic, Lamar.

When someone ReTweets my posts; In addition to immediately sending them a "Thank You" note; ,I'll browse their blog and quickly reciprocate. It's turning into a great way for building valuable, supportive relationships and get my tweets read and Re Tweeted.

A couple of time's, I have complied with a colleague's request to mention their work to my FriendForce.

These requests are welcomed since producing appropriate, quality content is a never ending job.

I've also asked colleagues what the have that they'd like me to "Blab about".

Since people read their mail at different times of day;   I prefer to space ReTweets with Tweet Later to arrive at 10am & 7pm on both US coasts and Europe (6 ReTtweets). but do it only once if I don't get the same in return.

So;   If you have quality content and think this type of collaboration could expand your influence ... I'll listen.

I'm in, guys. I trust some of my tweets are useful to your followers.

So, what is the procedure? Do we try to do it once a day or every couple of days?

Greg. ... Just send me a request containing copy and I'll take care of it.

Just remember to leave room for "RT @WheteveryourID".

It takes me about 10 minutes using TweetLater to hit the "Sweet Spots" (10AM & 7PM local time). on both coasts and Europe so imagine that I can probably only handle one request per day. .. (Not cast in stone).

I'd cheerfully bring in a VA if I had 50 requests per day because I'd be enjoying the same in return.

Prefer to receive requests via email ..... See my contact portal Http://towncrierbroadcasting.com/Ted

The 6 pack http://TweetLater.com process is my preference.

Teddy,

I have not tried TweetLater. I use Twittertise. Now, Twittertise will send out delayed tweets at the time you request. But, that is not all. Twittertise will also provide you with marketing feedback as to how many folks clicked on your tweet - even provide a graph. Does TweetLater do more than simply send out delayed tweets?

Lamar ... As always these Apps are loaded with several features and it's hard to keep up.

I primarily use Tweet Later for for delivering tweets at specified times and haven't explore it's other functions.

Hey Lamar ... I'll be giving Twittertise a spin.

The URL shortening saves me a step and the reporting feature seems a useful app.

Thanks for bringing us this.

Of course, we could just go to Twitter.com. LOL

I have your email, Teddy. Lamar, what preference do you have for contacting you?

Ok, let the games begin!

Greg,

While I did set up a Group Tweet for Cluster1, I actually think simply setting up a Skype Group Chat works better. You are not limited to 140 characters. You benefit from the instant pop-up. Then, you just go copy and paste on TweetDeck whatever you want to tweet or re-tweet. That set-up is much easier to handle than a Group Tweet. Melody, Teddy and I are already using Skype. Therefore, I invite you to get Skype (it's free) and simply add us to your contact list. Whenever you have the urge, just send us a Skype chat and we can easily tweet or re-tweet the message via TweetDeck.

My colleagues & I "Hang out" on both Yahoo and Skype and it's so easy to "drop in" to someone's cubicle and give them a pertinent discovery or ask a quick question.

Even though the inhabitants are scattered across the world; These Instant Messaging (IM). providers are the electronic equivalent to having an office in a building.

We respect each other's time & don't waste it with "Hi What are you doing"? but if a discovery comes along; I can drop it on their electronic desk with a minimum of disruption for either of us. ... A super fast method for a quick communication and We're through in one minute versus one week with email ping-pong.

Being visible in Skype & Yahoo (There are others). tells the world I'm open for business and even if absent; I frequently find a message waiting on my return. .... I like being able to speedily check in to Yahoo IM, even when away from the office, get my updates and frequently provide an answer.

Skype group chats have value but the room has to be open and the participants have to be invited. ... When the room is closed or the moderator is off line .... It's not too productive for communication or collaboration.

Teddy,

Yes, a group chat has to be open to be able to send one message to a selected group of people when using Skype. However, should you simply want to send a chat message to an individual, a Skype message can be sent whether the person has Skype on or off. I could be wrong, but I believe if you have Pamela added to Skype, you can create a Group Chat Room that will send out one message to everyone in the group...and this can include voicemail. I do not believe it matters if the individual is online with Skype at the time the message is sent if the group has already been created. I think that intially when the group is created everyone needs to be online using Skype. I could be mistaken here.

What is Pamela, anyway? Pamela is an automated virtual assistant. I have used Pamela to record phone calls for use in videos as background narration.
