Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | The concept of mutual collaboration is nothing new. But, the way it is being executed online is very encouraging, literally. And, it is somewhat paradoxical. People are learning to build an audience of followers by first willingly becoming a part of someone else's audience. That is what is happening with Twitter.com. You sign up and the first thing you are asked to do is "follow" someone else.
There are a lot of third-party applications that have been built around the Twitter app. One of the most amazing to me is Twitwall. This enables you to attach photos, videos, news of events, etc. to Twitter-type messages that are posted to a virtual wall. Pretty clever. Want to see an example? Click here.
How's that for a clever way to spread your business message? But, that is not all. It's not just what you do for your own business, but what you can do for others as well. Why simply try to push your own agenda, when you can just as easily push the agenda of others who may in turn do the same for you? The idea is that good things happen to those who help MAKE good things happen. So, the idea here in the world of netweaving is not just to help someone other than yourself, but to help that other person...first!
It is interesting that this actually happened to me today. Lindy Asimus, who is a well-known Ryzer spoke with me today at length on a Skype call. Thanks to her I learned about the Twitwall application. She has in fact helped me numerous times. I have in turn brought folks into her beautiful Ning network, TeamCircle. If you want to be a part of a very attractive and nurturing network, I highly recommend TeamCircle. And, this evening, I am thrilled to report that Lindy has now joined Clusters. I hope you will make her feel welcome here. Although Lindy calls Australia home, she often travels to California. So, she is no stranger to the United States.

Yes I enjoyed our chat on Skype too.
One of the things that we discussed today is a willingness to share resources and to adopt a collaborative approach to what we are doing individually.
It would be nice to think that we are all collaborative at heart, but I would dispute that assumption. We don't all find the same value in collaboration. Nothing wrong with that actually, but again it comes down to basics.
"What is a core value for you?"
Some people are good self promoters.
Some people are terrible self promoters but think they are good at it.
Some people are more inclined to promote others.
It would be easy to assume that those in the last category, who actively promote others, would in turn get promoted in kind by those they help. That would be a foolish assumption though.
Truth be told, most people find it much easier to notice when they are hindered, than to notice when they are helped. And sometimes we do a poor job at letting others know how to help us!
Those for whom collaboration is a value, need to let others know. That's the What of it I guess. The How can come later.
With each of us having a special interest and gifts in different spheres, it makes a kind of sense to get together to share the resources that we have collectively. If you have something to share, and some things you need... then this could be a good place to start thinking about what those skills and needs are, and seeing if there might be someone with comlementary skills within your network, who can and wishes to add input to allow you to get closer to your well defined goals, to achieve the results that you want. It's a safe bet that we all have something we'd like to achieve.
It is not a truism for nothing, the saying "two heads are better than one."

Lamar .... What's to think about? .... It's either Brain Storm and get new ideas & strategies or shrivel.
I think there's a huge stumbling block in this forum's intro.
Paragraph 3. "Clusters currently meets weekly at Mugshots Expresso in Hidden Valley Lake, CA on Sunday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.". ..... Says to me that Ryze Clusters is a California operation.
Having enjoyed many "Leg ups" over the years .... Returning those thoughtful, generous gestures at every opportunity is a must do for me and proactively seek opportunities. ..... (What do you have that I can blab about, today?)

I want to thank you publicly here for bringing to my attention the wonderful Twitter app, Mr. Tweet. I have never had a personal networking assistant before. Mt. Tweet tells me who I need to be following that is already following me and who I should be following that isn't following me. Mr. Tweet is a great networking assistant so far as building a larger and more useful Twitter audience is concerned. Thanks for bringing Mr. Tweet to my attention.
