Hi Lamar,
Lamar Asked - Will people even care that the classified ad is there? THe obvious answer is YES if it is something of like mindset to the person who reads it.
Let me ask this to clarify..IS the goal here to get them to the web site to build web traffic and top of mind awareness or to get them to the web site to sell them something from the individual companies sites or even drive in store traffic?
We all know or should all know no one form of advertising is the magic bullett, including only SEO magic Reg :o), as we try to reach as many people as possible. Depending on the niche you can obviously start to target your advertising to specific markets IE: Seniors, Women, Sports, Men, Travel,ect.
If I understand what your asking about here Larmar this is more of a generic "Top of Mind" style of advertising? Go here for information on 12 local business's?
AS far as actual ad copy to make it POP? First I would need to know if there are going to be any special offers made by the companies from the web site..Coupons, discounts, promotions. IE: Top twelve ways to save money from your local business leaders! Go Here - www.whatever.com
