I can add one experience I had last year that might shed a little more light on this. I realize this is a different niche, but I bought a 1/4 page ad in http://homebusinesspreviewguide.com/ to run this ad http://crowbarsystem.com/nad/

Since people typed in the web page address from the ad, I didn't track that, but I did track that 192 downloaded the free ebook from the web page. I split that with a rotator among 14 others that completed a free website enrollment to qualify, so their cost was covered.

Here's the bottom line, I was not able to tie one single signup back to that campaign, not even one.

Since I ran this campaign, the revenue sharing model has gone into the tank and I have shifted the same feeder systems to another niche, but the concept is what I wanted to share.
